I think the most important thing is that the air filter is installed and fits properly so that contaminants can't get around a gasket. Usually the aftermarket filters seem to have adequate gaskets.

That's fine. We understand you had to have it "now". You're engine could have waited a couple days however and you could have spoiled it with premium gas with the money that was wasted, but to each their own.
