Can the Bose sub work without the spare wheel? 2023 CX-5

I'm thinking about removing the spare for weight savings & storage space. But that begs the question, can I keep using the Bose wheel sub?

Well, I guess technically you're right. I did maintain the same total diameter so I already took care of myself there. Getting a little ahead with my thoughts here.

But let's say I wanted to remove it anyway. Does the sub need the spare to function?

It would probably be fine. But if you're going that far, why not make a proper subwoofer? Something that's bigger than 5"?
