I was at orlando speed world one night, trying to break 15's with my 2.0 3 and I see this riced civic, so I'm like let's go. We race, I beat him, and we start talking afterwards. He keeps talking about powershifting and how I should do it to keep my RPMS high and not lose any power. I'm being passive and just saying yea yea, I'll look into it. I'd much rather keep my tranny.
Yes I did beat him, that's a given.

I blew my tranny shifting into second gear a while ago and i WASN'T power shifting.....I made the ricer mistake of getting the damn thing rebuilt instead of getting a low mileage one from a junkyard.....Only 30k on the rebuilt tranny(145k on the car ) and my 3rd and 5th gears bite like fucking starved piranhas. Not to mention my SPEC stage 1 clutch chatters like....well i dunno; but it fuckin sucks.

I live in a town full of ricers (mainly hispanics) who take like little civics and extend the axels and put fake crome strips everywhere on it...To top it all of the get humongous curly wings . then one of my friends has a civic with four different rims, and thinks noone can tell the difference.

the kid who sells weed to my neighbor drives a late 90's neon, (not sure whether dodge or plymouth) ....he revs the fuck out of it before stopping and before starting to move... he acts like he's got a leaking turbo. (more to the point: he acts like his car is fast) ....so I'm at the chevron station, BSing with this dude who works there... he starts jocking me about my car.. come to find out he is the kids older brother. so I ask him about the neon, I say "he drives like he's got a leaky turbo.." so the dude says "no, that's just the way he drives it" - I said: "Is it even a stick shift?" to which he replies - "no"

lol, this kid... he takes the car and puts it in neutral to rev the engine, then puts it in drive to go.... LOL. what a fucking cheese-ball... he takes the loser cake.

Only time I pretended to have a manual is when people pull up an inch away from my bumper. I drop to neutral and let the car coast backward as if i'm still brand new to driving stick. they usualy don't follow to close after that.

This kid at work tells me that his dodge stratus has this special sensor that 1000 miles after his last oil change, the engine automaticly lowers idle and shift (its an automatic) rpms to save the motor and let him know he needs to change his oil.

So i read every page of this useless ricer thread. So now i'll add my own.

Driving home from the girlfriends house when a maxima pulls up next to me. HUGE chrome rims, a loud exhaust, and so much bass it makes my wiondows rattle. Turns out its a girls car and her bf is in the passenger seat. She revs at me, and so i figure what the hell, i won't even have to go all out to beat that thing.
So we launch, i pull at least 2 cars by the time i hit 60 mph so i slowed down, and then they fly by me of course. I catch back up roll down my window cause he wants to talk to me. Then he says "you're lucky your cars a stick, we would've wasted you if we weren't in an automatic."

And now the award for the best ricer in South Florida: I know a riced out ES down here. He hangs out with our club all the time. He even thinks his car is an MP3. Of course he has the boost guage, his N/A needed it for power. Then he has the audacity to tell me that my car isn't faster with "that leaf-blower" on it. So, a few weeks ago, we finally have the opportunity to open 'em up off the line. Now, my car is by no ways a fast car. But, when he finally catches up to me, like an hour later, he says, "I let you have it, you're lucky I wasn't racing". I proceed to laugh at him (which we, the club, do alot ) only to find out that our other friend got the whole thing on tape!!!!
