Boosted MP3 w/ NA ECU - Code P1569

I turbo'd my MP3 and I'm using the NA Protege ECU with the SS AFC v2 to tune it, but since the MP3 lacks VTCS I'm throwing the P1569 code and the car stumbles when I press the gas in Neutral. The CEL doesn't bother me as much as the stumbling..

Has anyone managed to figure out a fix for this? I read several threads about it, and a couple members said that wiring a VTCS solenoid to pin out 73 on the ECU fixed it, but the CEL soon came back?

**UPDATE**

Ok, according to TheMAN.. who we all know is the guru of these cars, wiring up a VTCS solenoid to pin 73 should do the trick. Here is a PM I got from him on how to fix this issue.

3) find any OBD2 ford that uses EEC V
4) pry terminal protector off (it is that swiss cheese plastic that is on top of the connector pins... the side that plugs into the ecu)
5) rip off the wire protector boot on the side where the wires goes in
6) use smallest screwdriver and pry the two metal "fangs" or "tabs" flat and pull the wire out... the terminal should go with it... get a good few inches length and cut it off
7) go find any late model mazda (not a mazord) such as a 626
8) find vacuum solenoid and wiring connector... the hose connections can be broken already, doesn't matter
9) grab vacuum solenoid and cut off the wiring connector
10) go home and install

1) disconnect battery, take ecu out, blah blah
2) locate pin 73 in ECU connector... RTFM to find it!
3) carefully this time take the ECU connector apart the same way you did at the junk yard
4) insert the terminal pin you pulled from the junk yard into pin 73
5) RTFMing again, locate the GROUND wire on the vacuum solenoid connector and splice it to the pin 73 wire
6) splice in a POSITIVE source for the remaining wire... it will have to be a switch power source... you DON'T want to run it constant... you'll have to decide what you want to use... maybe the fuel pump wire works
7) make sure everything is wrapped up and won't short and just stuff the solenoid along side the ECU and reinstall everything... you may want to wrap that solenoid up with some foam so it won't rattle

no purtty pics.... figure it out yourself!
I'll be providing the purtty pics and reporting back on whether or not the CEL comes back after a while. I don't see any reason why it would if everything is hooked up properly. Oh and I ended up just putting some double sided tape on the solenoid and taped it next to the ECU. Make sure to plug the vacuum ports as well. The left input is the power source for the solenoid, I tapped that from wire in pin 97 (white) and the right input is the ground which goes to the newly installed wire in pin 73 (pink).

If anyone needs a wire, PM me.. I have almost 100 in this plug.

I just bought an entire Ford EEC-V ECU plug so I'll have 100 some pins to work with. If anyone else needs one of these so you can hook up a wire into pin 73 let me know and I'll send one your way.

Where would I find this solenoid on the engine if I were to find one at a junk yard?
