Canadian 5 Owners..Need help with parts

Hello all Canucks out there......

My breaks are show all arround. At 47 000KMS I'm not happy but it's got to be done. Does anyone have a recomeneded spot where they get their parts?
Mazda dealer wants big bucks for Pads and Rotors.....Must be some aftermarket Jobbers out there?

Any info would be great...thanks!

Why do you need new rotors?! Did you wear the pads down beyond the wear point and grinded your rotors? (Did this once in an old Civic back in high school... hey I didn't know any better). Is it warped? Did you actually check the discs for yourself to see if they need replacing? If it does... is a new rotor less expensive than machining the existing one?

First thing, go easy on the heavy breaking!!!! I'm at 82,000km and still using the original pads! last check at the dealer had 50% pad material left! Are you guys all driving automatics?

Seriously, Try a Napa in your area the parts should be alot less expensive than Mazda!

I am at 44,000 Kms. Mazda told me I have 3mm left in front. Do new pads have 9mm ? I keep getting different stories from the Mazda techs when I bring in my 5 for servicing every 8000 Km. I was once told I have 5% front pads left, then 3 mm. I don't know if I have 5% or 33% (based on 3mm out of 9 mm).

I was quoted $180 for front pad replacements. That doesn't sound too bad to me.

Ebay all the way. Parts are manufactured in Canada and slotted rotors & pads can be had for $120 can. Installation is simple & cheap- try Canadian Tire if time or skill level keeps you from DIY
