Updated Thunder Header Design

After several experiments and design changes over the last year,
and input from several members of this community, I am
really excited to announce that Thunder has completely redesigned
their Mazda 3 header.
The new header incorporates a hi-flow cat and eliminates the CEL
problem.

Headers for the 3 don't seem to be big sellers in comparison to other cars,
so I'd like to know how many people would consider purchasing one if I
ran a Group Buy of some kind. I am still playing around with numbers but
the Retail Price will be in the neighborhood of $450.00. I should be able to
do @ $425 shipped for a Group Buy.

Before I do any of that, though I would want someone to test and review
the new design, at a deeply discounted price.

For those of you unfamiliar with Thunder, this is a top-notch product with
great welds and a lifetime guarantee.

Well, by the time I get one in here to do an updated review, and start the
GB, well I can guarantee the order wouldn't arrive before the end of May.

Are/were there any issues w/the solid pipe in place of a traditional flex pipe? like rubbing or anything? I know no one has tried it yet, but any idea how much quieter the header is since it has a hi-flow cat?

Nope, there was never an issue at all. I've sold a bunch of these in it's first-gen form. Ken (PGarage) has one on his Mazda 5, so feel free to check with him as well.

I am going to order one within the next two weeks, probably, and have it
shipped separately from my regular order to get it here faster.
Anyone that's sent me a PM or posted interest will be considered in the
order that they contacted/posted with the special price and what I will expect in return.

I would really like to get something going with this version.

Damn, I would certainly be interested. Money is tight at the moment...have about 50 bones in my car fund...LOL.

Love the design and addition of a high flow cat.

Guess you'll find out if you get one, lol. I have a Thunder header on my Protege, with the cat removed, and I pass the sniffer test. It wouldn't pass a visual, though.
In any case it's technically illegal to remove any OEM emissions equipment, so no-fun Cali wouldn't like this, I'm sure.

I've got a reviewer lined up, now I just gotta get it here for him.
