1st Video of the new Turbo Wagon
Someone was nice enough to make a video of one of my autoX runs from this weekend. This was the first time the car has been raced since the turbo was put on it and it was the first time it's raced on street tires in several years. Without better tires the car is horrible for autocross. The turbo just spools too fast in first and second gear.

Dude your car looks awesome carving up that track, you must have some badass supension components because the car looks planted to the ground. Congrats on getting Booosted!

I thought a cricket had camped out on the camera.
That was awesome! The car did look planted though as others have said. Congrats! I know you were ready to get it back on the track. |

So, why exactly does it blow-off ever 1.1 seconds? I'm confused....
Car looks bad-ass, BTW.

Yuh, tha bov was going off like crazy dude, were you just shifting like crazy or what, what bov is it?
I wanna see some straight line action though, from a roll or from a stop. That autocross shit is too confusing for me, I'd just start running over all the cones on purpose.

It's an HKS SSQV and every time you hear it going off is me just lightly lifting on the throttle trying to get the car to stop pushing. I have the AWR coilovers with Koni SA inserts. The biggest problem with the car right now and the reason for all the lifting/blowing off is the front struts are blown. They need to be rebuilt/replaced so the car was pushing really bad. When it blew off right at the starting line it was because the front tires started spinning. I think I have an insta-spool turbo.

I can only hope to get to a set up like that. Looks great (and minus about 37 BOV squeals that would be a sweet vid too haha)
