I'm not in a CX-7, but a Protege 5 and I'm running the DDM kit in my Pro5 at 4300K and I must say, these things are amazing!! If anyone is having second thoughts about spending $130 on headlights, trust me, the first time you drive at night it will be WELL worth the money spent!!

Just a little bump for Xenon Expert!!

Question for use with a 2008 Mazda Tribute:

This model year uses an H13 (9008) high/low bulb

What would be the right kit for this vehicle?

You would need an H7 kit. The Apexcone or DDM kit:

If you don't want to lose your high beams you need a bi-xenon kit:

Not a dumb question. Just wrong forum. lol. But, yes, as long as you find out what bulb base you'll need, it'll work. If you use an H4 bulb, order the H4 kit. Simple as that.

Yes depending on the year of the Jetta you might need a bi-xenon kit.

I checked your site and it states 48 hour processing. Can you tell me what shipping method you would use to get the HID's to my office?

Just received my tracking in the 48 hour processing, very prompt on this.

I've heard before that the H13 bulb (the one in my Tribute's high/low beam) is very poorly designed, so much so that the terminals are prone to melting because of the inability to dissipate heat, even with stock wattages! This means that if I want to go with a different halogen bulb for a new look, or a slightly brighter output, I CAN'T, because the H13 design is so bad.

That's precisely why an HID would work so well here, right? They burn much cooler (not light output, but actual heat output) so the strain on the housing, wiring, etc. should be less then stock, correct?

Received them on the 13th and installed them. took a while to find some places to mount the ballast, but once i mounted them, they were rock solid.

the 4500 is also bright white, this was pretty nice to the 6000K that i was rocking in the past.

My only concern now is that when i turn on the hid's one light will not turn on but the other will....I then retry and both of them turn on. Curious is this due to how i installed them or maybe my battery needs to be replaced.

Anyone have this problem?

check your connections first off. It shouldn't be the battery
