I searched in the how-to section but could not find it. My wife likes to leave the sunroof tilted open in the summer to vent the heat build-up inside the CX-9. Problem is that over the past seven years, dirt, small leaves and pine needles have deposited on the sunshade. I can see them when I am drying the roof of the CX-9, but cannot get my vacuum attachments in to vacuum it all up. Is there a way of detaching the sunshade from the sunroof so that I can safely open the sunroof with the sunshade closed?

I know on the two vehicles before this with sunroofs you had to fake out the glass to remove the cover. But since the glass is out you wouldn't need to remove the cover. Usually 4 screws on the sunroof then just be careful from there.
