i recently purchased a 3 plug outlet box so I could have the all the 12v power adapters I use be powered. (cell phone, ipod, & gps/ipaq) It has cabling to plug into the regular lighter plug and cabling to hard wire it in. I want to hard wire it in place so I can hide the box with all the pugs under the seat and not have anything plugged into the lighter. Last night I got to the connection behind the lighter plug, only to find that the plug uses an odd sized or keyed spade plug for the (+), so my idea of building a Y cable wouldn't work. Since I'd prefer not to cut into any of the wiring if I don't have to, I was thinking of connecting through the fuse box. I have used before a plug that replaces a fuse in the box, giving a spare power tap. I was thinking of getting one of those and putting it in on one of the switched fuses. I just need to know which are switched. I could probably find out myself with a meter, but I figured it would be faster if I asked here first.
