Hello,
Let me thank you advance for your help.

Here's the deal...I know next to nothing about Audio stuff but one night I was drinking and bought a couple things on Ebay.

I bought this Sub Box:
https://www.ebay.com (commissions earned)

I figured this would be a good one because it got some good reviews.
The Subs are DVC.

and this Amp:
https://www.ebay.com (commissions earned)

This Amp also got some good reviews and I had guessed a 4 channel Amp would work best with DVC Subs (2 channels into each)

Anyways...I take these to Curcuit City to be installed and the guy in the audio section told me I wasted my money...
He said that the Amp would fry up on the first really warm day of the year and the 4 channels were a waste because I would not be able to deliver all the power to the subs and if I tried...the Amp would burn up!

What gives?!!! Is this true?

Thanks in Advance,
Lance

1) Generally, chose to not trust a Circuit City installer...morons.

2) You have two options here. You can sell this amp and get one that'll do the job better (preferably a 2 channel that will bridge to give you ~600-800W RMS), and if you chose to do that we can give you suggestions. Or, you can keep this amp and not really use it to it's full potential. You can give each sub ~200W...400W total. That'll be okay, but it'd be better if you sold it to get some cash back and got something more appropriate.

3) i highly recommend avoid CC and BB for install...get to know a good stereo shop, or do like I did and DIY!

^^ I agree completely. Kicker makes a good amp, and it can run the subs, but you won't be maximizing the potential of either. Find a local higher end stereo shop if you decide to keep the stuff and you will be just fine.

kicker amps are awsome, but why would the amp fry? thats stupid all kicker amps have overheat protection, and the protection WORKS, you can run those DVC's at 2 ohms on each ch getting 400W RMS per sub, kicker amps are always underratted BTW so i guess it WOULD work, but it wont go very loud

That's actually what I was gonna suggest if you wanted to stick with Kicker! You may need to keep the gain down a little bit so as not to *overpower* and overheat the subs, but that's all!
