I finally recieved my 2001 Mazda Protege Wiring Diagram Book!

I finally got it. This thing is pretty technically detailed. Here is the part number on the back:

9999-95-019G-01

It was $49 + Tax USD.

Could you give us an idea of the tech content?

I mean beyond the typical wiring diagrams for the harnesses, what else is there? If it's got some decent info on how the ECU and ignition system work, it would be worth it for me. Ingition map info would be so sweet. I don't need the typical trouble shooting flow charts that most factory maunals have, just the data that would help reverse engineer the engine management system.

Also, do you have an angle on ECU upgrade? It sure would be nice to be able to rework the stock unit and avoid buying a standalone management system.

who did you get it from, Mazda dealer?

Yep! I got it from the dealer. It has the location of all the wiring harnesses, and what wires and colors. I may post some sample pics if I have time. No promises though!
