Thoughts on 3rd gen MS3?

96 Mazda Protege DX 1.5L

The new CX-9 was just unveiled with a 2.5L Turbo engine making 250HP with premium gas, 227HP with regular gas.
So I am assuming that is what we will see in the next Mazdaspeed 3 in 1-2 years (If Mazda will make it.)

Talking with a dealer says this is likely with AWD 310hp 2.5l Turbo

Mazda engineers are focused on the new rotary at this stage.
