Hi All,
I was thinking of installing this https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned) inside my Mazda 2, just behind and above the back seat. Looking to mount this into the cabin ceiling, preferably where there are already 2 plastic panel clips holding the ceiling panel in place, and tap into wiring that may already be running around here. (If anyone needs to know why, I want to point this camera down towards a car seat, to keep an eye on the little one when driving long trips by myself (instead of using a rear facing infant mirror).)
Anyway, throwing this out there to see what the forum thinks. It seems doable and not super hard. Wouldn't it just involve splicing this into an existing 12V wire? Perhaps I'm being naive. I don't have very much experience with electrical. Thought this might be a fun way to learn something.
Not as important, but while we're at it... I would also like to know the best/cleanest way to feed the AV cable up to the front of the car.
I can add pictures if it helps illustrate what I want to do and where.
