Which is why I asked if you meant turbo, I had a P5 back in the day I know all about the MP3 ECU.

Yeah, i totally mixed up the model codes and thought i had the right ecu but looks like i wasted 180 buying this ecu.

very interested, do you just swap it with the protege5 one? full compatibility

It will swap, but it's not compatible with the P5 since the Mazdaspeed ECU is programmed to run a turbo'd Protege.

do you know if it was ever flashed before you bought it?
Dealers were flashing ECU's after so many "rich mixture" complaints for like $300. If it is flashed then I am very interested. It might have mentioned something about flashing on your original purchase thread/website. Let me know. And if you don't know- please say so
