I have a 2000 Mazda Protege DX and am hoping members have several ideas on what can go wrong, the part(s) to change and how to do it. Thanks!

Thats not very descriptive, whatre you wanting? Is your vehicle not running rite? Does it have a check engine light?

How old are the spark plugs? If over 80,000 miles, change them.
Does the air filter have less than 15,000 miles on it? If so, change it.
Are there any check engine lights illuminated? If so, have the OBD II scanned and the problem fixed.

Once your car is ready, make sure you drive it for at least 15 miles before you pull into the smog shop. Get an appointment if you can. That way, your car won't sit (and cool off) for a couple of hours.
