You can thank recent pedestrian safety standards for that. The larger frontend is better executed here than it is on the newest Minis.

Nope, same 1.5 litre capacity, but with a little more power and fuel economy thanks to Skyactiv Technology. The diesel power unit is also a 1.5L.

Wow nice car. Hopefully it will eventually make its way here to the States like the 2 did. The new Scion is a fail, this is coming from a Toyota guy. Right now Toyota doesn't have anything in their line up worth driving besides the FRS. And that's part Subaru, they should be ashamed. Really the US market is to blame as the demand is what has shaped the company.
