Engine Ticking (Cold Start) 2008 - 2 - 1.3 MT

Its been getting quite cold here lately(-5/-10 C) and im experiencing a ticking noise from the 1.3 lt engine that disapears as soon as the engine gets up to temperature.
I was thinking it might be a valve thing, bit considering the fact the this model uses a timing chain, im more inclined to blame that?

Anybody else experiencing this?
And is it in fact a harmless oil issue?

Yea its pretty common to tick while warming up.

With the Mazda 2 we race being parked for extend periods of time we get a little ticking when we fire up the car. We normally let the car run for a few minutes before driving on it.

60K and im replacing oil and filters every 10k .

Plugs and gear oil every 50k?

I changed my plugs at 50k and they were on their last legs. I would change them a bit sooner.
