Love the new 2 and the new Dealer look...What do you guys think? :D

Ugh...it still has drums in the rear? :/ I know it's not a huge deal...I just think it would feel a little more modern if it had discs all the way around.

The rear bumper is interesting, looks like enough crash material to meet the US specs. I wonder if Mazda decided to make them all the same instead of the North American cars all getting the bigger bumpers.

You would think that it'll would be much easier and cost effective for car manufacturers to build one version that meets all criteria if they sell in several continents. But what do i know.

2 things the US spec won't see:
Diesel engine
Projector headlights
(guessing of coarse)

Looks nice though.

I will not be surprised at all if your right. There are for a fact projector headlights and lamp headlamp available. I'm hoping things like these are changing in the automobile manufacturing world but we'll see.

Thanks for the comments so far...All good points!

Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to test drive because there were already a bunch of people at the dealer waiting to test drive the new 2 and I had to run...The new 2 does feel noticeably more sophisticated than the previous model...Especially with regards to the interior. Mazda is making bold moves to upgrade its image and I think they are doing a great job so far...Now let's see some serious Mazdaspeed models!!! [emoji106][emoji106]

That's shame that you didn't get to drive it. I do agree that it looks over all more sophisticated. Much more premium interior for sure. I just hope that after Mazda is done upgrading their image they start killin' it with some MAZDASPEED models. Starting naturally with the 2 since it's the first number in their range. ;)

The reviews on the diesel modela I have seen have been good. The 81.9 MPG rating is appealing too.

^I scrolled by that a couple times before realizing it was a gif. Well done.

If they bring the diesel out, it may be time to trade Jellybean in.

Yeah, I saw it on another forum I'm on and nearly spit soda all over my monitor when I saw it. (lol)

I've gotta say the diesel sounds interesting. A diesel MZ2 daily driver... and a completely gutted F-Prepared 1st gen(for the US anyway) 2 would be fun to have.

I still don't understand Mazda's obsession with putting the smallest rollers possible on every base model car. Those wheels look really bad, and it's a gut-punch to the form of the car. Great looking car otherwise, and that tan/dark charcoal interior looks the hotness.

Oh, and unlike the 3, it looks like you can see really well out of the new 2. I drove a new 3 for a week recently. Holy crap you can't see sh*t out of that car!

It's to keep cost down no doubt. Remember that with this type of car everything comes down to making the average buyer happy. People that can't tell the difference between a 15 or 17 inch wheel and don't really give a crap.

this looks awful, i still haven't got used to how this thing reminds me of a vulture. fitting too, because people can interpret the mazda decal as wings. perhaps it will make up for its looks by how it drives. is this really the hasumi concept what were they thinking? i still don't own a demio by the way but i still have my lantis. the first generation lantis, with no air-bags lol.

I think wheels and suspension will do wonders for the way the car looks. With the 15s, tall tire, and the wheel gap, it looks like a mini CX-5.
