MBSP removal?

Hello guys, serious leak from MBSP when I put the old man's car up on the hoist, so I've removed sump and tried to remove the main bearing support plate, but there are two bolts behind the trans housing between the flywheel from what I have searched on this forum.

How does one separate the trans enough to get to those bolts?

Do I have to remove the whole trans, if so is there a process here that I can follow? I've never done a FWD box removal before.

You may have to remove the entire engine and transmission due to the alignment of the bellhousing to the block. Are you certain the leak is coming from the main bearing support plate? is it cracked or something?
