Head unit, DIN Pocket, phone mount solution

JVC CD-player with Bluetooth. Fairly straightforward installation. I took out my OEM headunit and cassette deck. The DIN pocket is from a Taurus. The color is the same, but the grain in slightly different than the other plastics, but no one would notice unless you told them. I devised a "mount" for my phone by simply cutting and sticking two strips of foam house window weatherstripping I already had.








The hardwired microphone easily snakes up the A-pillar. Overall everything turned out pretty good and looks nice and clean. The phone position is good for using Nav, and I stream podcasts to the head unit via the Bt connection.

What year Taurus is the pocket from?

Not sure. 2nd generation I think.

Nice!. How secure is the phone? I have looked a couple of suction cup style, but nothing is jumping out as a clear winner.

it doesn't slide from side to side. Its only fallen once, under hard acceleration.
