So a little bit of background on the car. I am the second owner, purchased July 23rd 2012, from a very nice 65 year old man. He admitted to the car being his mid life crisis, but he never modded the car and had an overabundance amount of paper work for the car. It was completely dealer serviced and taken car of by the same dealer every time.
The day I brought her home:

So I bought the car and told myself I like it just the way it is and I am not going to mod it because it has plenty of power... Well that lasted a full week and a half then she got a cobb intake and turbo inlet hose.

Same week I got a set of 35watt 8000k hid low beams

Next was the JBR 88 duro RMM thanks to a new friend that will be very helpful from now on

I got a dashhawk for an amazing price off Craiglist so I could monitor all my vitals and it would be one of the best purchases I every made for the car.
9548791694_f9fbb62724_b.jpg

Soon after the RMM came the CNT Racing catted downpipe from the same friend mentioned above. I know I know I did all this before the internals. Do as I say not as I do. The car never blew up so I am good. Did have a few times that the fuel rail pressure dropped really low.

Now the car was running great it could breathe.

I did get the HPFP Internals soon after the downpipe

Time for a tune. I used Mike from Stratified Automotive Controls. He was great and set me up nicely with a 93 octain tune as well as a 29% E85 tune. I love ethanol and hate it when I have to come off of it.

So now I went and autocrossed for my first time and I fell in love
Toledo Airport 1st time on all season tires (thanks for the picture sho)

After that I knew my biggest limiting factor were my tires so I picked up a set of 235/40/17 Hoosier and a set of Drag DR-38's 17x8 and plasti-dipped them blaze yellow.

Looks good, brotha. Been fun seeing the progression of the build since I first met you at the tint place. Thanks for all the help with my car as well!

douche. I was so pumped when I heard that I was the fastest time. I am beating you this week!

I'm beating all of you so it won't matter. :)

HAHA! That was my 2nd autocross event ever so I was a little surprised I did so well. I'll have Hoosiers on Sunday so it will be interesting!

HAHA probably! Glad you're not in SMF lol

I'm going to have a good launch and hope that I can take the turns the right way. My goal isn't really to beat the guys in SMF but more to compete with the guys I shouldn't have a chance with. SM and SSM

All you can do is run as good of a run as humanly possible and see where it stacks up.

Went to an autox event at Toledo Airport over the weekend. Wasn't too impressed with my times. But I need to learn to be more fluid and smooth with the throttle. I'm thinking about de-tuning the car a little for the next autox to try and force myself to not be able to light the tires up coming out of the corners. I was having a problem with hooking after a sharp corner when I would come out in a low gear at a high rpm.

Also a few pictures that FAM got while at the event.

1229818_10100812599176922_1148801453_n.jpg

And then My catastrophic run where I think I nailed 4 cones lol

De-tuning the car is probably a good idea. Even with my near-stock power, I was still able to light up the tires accidentally if I got on the throttle too hard too soon. If you get to do any track days this year (Mid-Ohio, etc.) you'll be able to improve your smoothness.

Great job yesterday though!

Thanks still in shock corey beat me lol. But I'm off to Mid-Ohio September 2nd. So that should help because just watching you for what I could see I definitely noticed the difference between you and I.

Corey had the home field advantage haha! Are you signed up for the Novice group for Mid-Ohio? I'm signing up for the Intermediate group so I'm allowed to have passengers ride with me. I'm not sure what the schedule is as far as when Novice and Intermediate groups run, but you can ride along for a session if you want.

alright if I can I definately will and I have/want to be a novice for mid ohio. I have no idea what to do so I will be completely out of my element.

You'll have an instructor ride along while you're running. However, I've found it very beneficial to ride as a passenger. Especially since we have the same FWD car with similar modifications so you can use my driving line as a reference. Now that I think about it, I think the Novice group has classroom sessions so it may not be possible to ride along. We'll see on Monday!

Maybe I missed it but I don't believe there were classroom sessions at the last Auto Interests thing for anyone. Intermediate and Novice did run back-to-back though. There were only 3 groups IIRC. Advanced/Instructor, Intermediate, and Novice.

Are you planning on having an instructor ride along with you #2?

Oh... and I'll be able to take you both out if you so desire. At the last event instructors could go out in any group, or at least Marc and I did. :)

for sure! I'm pumped and can't wait until I actually get to get out there. I want to go to gingerman soon too. Gingerman is cheap

Yeah I heard there aren't as many elevation changes as mid ohio but for half the cost who the hell cares lol. I know another guy with an srt4 with a gtx3076 that wants to split the gas and trailer the cars up there. But I don't think there are anymore track events this year
