2002 LX rear door speakers?

Hi,

I just bought an 02 LX, there is no sound coming form the rear door speakers.

Does the LX have rear door speakers?
If it does not, is it wired for the speakers and they are just missing?

Thanks, just trying to save myself unnecessary pulling of door cards.

The LX should have rear speakers up on the deck, P5s and MSPs had them in the bottom of the rear door.

I have speakers up on the deck. However, my rear door panels have speaker covers.

So, I was wondering if the higher trims came with 6 speakers and Mazda just didn't make different door panels for the LX, and maybe all the wiring is actually there and they just didn't include the speakers. Which would of course make it a very easy to upgrade to 6 speakers.

they just used the same trims, on most sedans they are there for show and have 6x9" in the rear deck

I have an 01' ES with the same setup and was wondering the same question. Now i was also wondering about the cars that do have speakers in the doors, is it just the speaker in the space or is there a speaker pod that needs to be installed with the speaker?
