Had a fun weekend
I've had a bit of a vacuum leak and decided to check all of my hoses, etc. to see what the issue was. Went to my parent's house to use their well lit garage

Found quite the beat up intake

The culprit

So the process began

cleaned up the damage and taped the inside of the hole

mixed my JB Weld

Applied

Let it sit

Sitting without

Began cleaning the surface with steel wool

Best way to paint

After the JB weld had hardened and the paint had dried, I reassembled my intake with a new Black hose to the Valve Cover

Hood was shipped out this weekend via grey hound. I get paid This Thursday so I have some parts to order:

Camber bolts
Aerocatch Locking Hood pins
PasswordJDM Flushmounts

Got some side projects going to make some extra money. I'll hopefully be ordering a 2003.5 MSP lip from Mazda, then having the lip, bumper, and hood painted

Over $300.00. just too much to spend on a lip. However, I am selling my old tires for $300.00 ( just waiting on the money). As soon as I get the money for the tires, you can bet I'll be buying that lip

Quick update. Got a call from Greyhound that they received my hood yesterday. Finally got down there at 10pm last night and they had a sign up saying "Sorry, Closed until 11:30"
Complete and utter bullcrap. There hours on their website are 9:30pm to 11:59pm. That was a wasted hour-roundtrip. I'm picking it up after work today

It's what you really want though. You'll eventually forget about the price but still have the lip :)

badass on the hood .

question i remmember or think it was you that put on the horns with stock grill and mentioned that it had to be cut/shaved down a bit to make them fit properly? if it was you do you have a pic of what part you had to modify on the grill?

yea haha.
btw i forgot to mention the hood makes your top front end very light.
if you dont have one you should consider a Gtspec lower arm bar (the one that ties the lower control arms together).
helps alot.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll look into it

I did make it work and I later saw another member do it too but alot better than I did. I wasn't too careful since I plan on getting a DG motorsports CF grill, plus my grill was broken in a few places so I didn't plan on re-saling. I basically used a drimmel tool to cut away the plastic that interfered with the horns. With the horns installed I put the grill where it would be installed and marked the plastic where it needed to be cut. I went to town and cut most of the plastic out.

P.S. hot plastic getting slung everywhere gets uncomfortable
