Well, I told myself I wouldn't start a build thread because of my slow speed. My modding has picked up lately and now I need a place to keep track of my progress and ask questions. I have a family of four and my p5 is my DD so modding can be slow at times, please bare with me

Ultimate goal: A good looking, fun to drive DD that can haul my family of four and various other crap such as band equiptment.

I received my P5 bone stock. It was equipt with the sunroof/SRS airbag option

Had a fun weekend
I've had a bit of a vacuum leak and decided to check all of my hoses, etc. to see what the issue was. Went to my parent's house to use their well lit garage



Found quite the beat up intake



The culprit

So the process began



cleaned up the damage and taped the inside of the hole

mixed my JB Weld

Applied

Let it sit

Sitting without

Began cleaning the surface with steel wool


Best way to paint




After the JB weld had hardened and the paint had dried, I reassembled my intake with a new Black hose to the Valve Cover

Hood was shipped out this weekend via grey hound. I get paid This Thursday so I have some parts to order:

Camber bolts
Aerocatch Locking Hood pins
PasswordJDM Flushmounts

Got some side projects going to make some extra money. I'll hopefully be ordering a 2003.5 MSP lip from Mazda, then having the lip, bumper, and hood painted

Over $300.00. just too much to spend on a lip. However, I am selling my old tires for $300.00 ( just waiting on the money), plus I have chrome wheels I inherited that are worth big money. I plan on buying my wife a camera and paying for paint. As soon as I get the money for the tires, you can bet I'll be buying that lip

I have only found one place which has that BNIB so far, at 500 bucks.

Yeah 500 for a lip is a little much lol
