I thought it was about time for me to start my own build thread. Progress will be slow as I am a very busy person. I'm not going for huge numbers or straight lines but, more for great agility and reliability. This is my first ever build so bear with my freshness to the mod world. I bought the car as a salvage and have been repairing it and maintaining it with hopes to some day put it on the circuit. It is a legit MSP so all of the items that look out of place were part of the repair from the salvage.
I am a full time draftsman. I am decent at mig and tig welding as well as machining on a mill and lathe. I've been doing this for about 3 years now. My boss is also in the tuning/modding world and is currently building a cummins powered drag truck. My work place has a full machine shop (no crazy 6 axis cnc machines). We have a car lift and are in the process of getting a superflo dyno.
What she looked like when I bought her (The tail lights have been properly replaced with OEM's)
Fall 2012
I've had the head milled and fitted it with ARP studs. I honed the block for a good seat for the head. I also have installed ARP exhaust studs.
Put in 3 of the 4 AWR mounts (88 duro). I have the 4th but, haven't installed it yet.
Custom fabricated clunk fix brackets and radiator brackets
Original radiator was leaking and got replaced with a mishimoto radiator.
I plan on eventually forging but with a new block. I'm sure I left some things out but, this will get it started.
Enjoy!
