Post Speed Limit Adjustment Not Working

Just wanted to document my issues so far with the Hypertech MESPP. I have a 2008 Mazda 3s (2.3 liter, PZEV/CA emissions) mtx.

The first was the Tuner Update Application (software on PC). Installed it, and it asked to update the Tuner Update App before I could update the Hypertech MESPP unit LOL. When it downloaded the updated installer my antivirus software detected it as malware and deleted it.

The second was updating the Hypertech programmer unti itself using the Tuner Update App. I was unable to, despite plugging it into the car and following the prompts and then going back to my desktop computer. Only until I selected the incorrect model (Mazdaspeed 3/etc), then reselected my correct model on the Hypertech unit did the Tuner Update App work and was able to update the Hypertech unit.

Third issue issue is the only issue left, and is the speed limit adjustment feature. Doesn't seem to be working at all and I'm still hitting the factory ~118 mph speed limit. Tried Z/255, V/149, H/130, & U/124 mph on it's own and was not working. According to Hypertech tech support, they suggested I set a really low speed limit (maybe they were skeptical a stock Mazda 3s can hit at least 135 mph? lol) of 25 mph to see if the feature works at all. It didn't. Just for the heck of it I raised the speed limit back to Z/255 mph in conjunction with the Premium Fuel (91 octane) tuning. Engine tuning seems to work but the speed limit adjustment isn't. This is were I'm at.

Hypertech support took down my info and will get back to me. So far they have been great and I'm pleased with their professionalism. The engine tuning portion seems to work for Regular (87 octane) and Premium (91). I could feel the difference between stock and Regular tuning, but not between Regular and Premium tuning. Haven't tried the rev limit adjustment.

So on Tuesday I spoke with a different Hypertech support person. This person was less professional, kinda like talking to a newbie @ Best Buy or whatever employee (e.g. it should be on the other side of the store and if it isn't there, we don't have it). Don't know if age had anything to do with it but he was a younger guy and might need to be retrained. Had to drag out the fact from him that my issue was submitted on the 21st of December, and that some engineers had put in a few notes on it but with no solution yet. Hope I don't talk to him again.
