OK so looks like I'm not the only one. Regular gas or super? I use regular.

That doesn't look right, 37mpg would put you at almost 500 miles. The Fuelly list gives you 30.7 MPG average. Must have been a typo.

I have yet to hit 400MPT. and I drive very conservatively most of the time. but almost all city driving, short trips of less than 10 miles consist of probably 90% of my driving.
on the rare occasions where I take a longer drive on a tank of gas, I usually get at least 20 more miles on a single tank, but thats not saying much as I still dont hit 400mpt.

but then again, I havent done anything to the car since getting it 2 months ago, but am planning on a basic tune up with fluid changes in the next month or so and at that time will be going with full synthetic fluids. also planning on resetting ECU (or replacing with an MP3 ECU) at the same time.

Well...it was technically 36.6 MPG on that particular tank. I filled up at 416.2 miles on the tripometer and it took 11.38 gallons to fill up.

Those with ZFR5 long reach NGKs smooth the idle a bit, gets the coils off the top of the motor but mostly just looks different. There's a 626 valve cover that eliminates the coil mounting holes, has shorter fill neck that cleans up the look too but I'm still using the MSP vc with engine cover thing so it covers those anyway. Kind of a dare to be different or personal preference thing more than anything else.

Wow that is amazing, I think it is also the best on fuelly.com for any of the P5's.

I filled up again today and got 410 miles. I may try and see if I can push it by going with mid-grade gas next time and see if I could get more. Hmmmm, our 7 and 8 year old P5's are getting better gas mileage than our newer cousins. That is short lived until the Mazda3 gets the new Skyactive engine.
