CEL PO340 camshaft position sensor

my car has been running like crap lately, it seems to have lost power and it has random cut outs/misfires. my CEL came on last week for PO340 camshaft position sensor so i bought a used one from someone on here, i replaced it today and teh CEL came back on for PO340. im think i got screwed on buying a bad sensor as it had visual damage to the magnet part of the sensor. Im just curiious as if anyone else has had this CEL code? what have did you do to fix your problem? any help would be appreciated

Check the timing belt tensioner(spring) if he's ok.When the spring is broke or stretche the timing belt is just lose enough to cause problem and cam sensor code.

haha, yep your correct thats what it was, thats funny i fixed it today without even seeing your post, but the spring broke
