freon refill?

hello to all. ive recently purchased a 2003 MP5, its been awesome all winter and into the spring. come summer, i had never turned on my ac. flip her on and its hot hot air. before i take it to the shop id like to recharge the freon since i have the required tool. what freon, where, how, and to what extent. please help me before i melt!!!

R134 Refrigerant with sealer you can pick up one at walmart. Just follow the direction on the label you should charge it to Low side...

Get one that comes with a UV dye in it (walmart or any auto parts store has this), that way if you have a leak (it sounds like you do) it'll be easier to pinpoint where it's coming from. Don't worry about getting the UV light (it's just a purple LED if you want to make your own) and those stupid glasses, you can see that stuff with the naked eye if there's a good enough leak.
