Dashboard brake light stays on

When i turn my engine on. And i turn down the
handbrake the light on the dashboard doesnt turn off
it stays dimmed but not off it wasent like that yesterday
what could be an how can i fix it. The only thing i did before it happed
is that i went to a school car wash.

Please help

Any chance you can tell us what you have for a vehicle?

Check the brake fluid. It might be low. If it's low chances are that you have a leak, or you need new brake pads. Good luck.

Is a mazda tribute 2003 and i found out the problem
since they sprayed silicon on the indice. Dash. Etc...,
there was silicon on the button underneath the handbrake that
turns the light on or off so sprayed out with compressed and it was
fix thought i would share it so everyone would know for future reference
