Car wont start, keyless entry didnt work... help

Okay, so there was a huge rain storm and I honestly think my car got struck by lightning. I went to the movies, left my car at a friends house. Lights were off everything. It was POURING... lightning, tornado warnings, the whole nine yards. I hit my "unlock" button on my key nothing. I opened the car manually, put my key in the ignition and nothing. No lights work, no radio. I took my key out the ignition after several attempts and my gauges did like a sweeping motion. I have no idea. The rain is starting to slow down, and im going try to to start it again, and worse comes worse buy a new battery. Any ideas?

Keep in mind it doesnt have to be a direct hit to affect the ECU. I would try a battery reset. Disconnect the battery for a few minutes and then reconnect. Sorry to hear about the severe weather. The sky sure was dark to the north today.

disconnect the battery and check over all your fuses both under the hood and the glovebox

Could the battery just be dead?

+1 Bet its the battery. The keyless entry won't work when the battery is dead.....at least it didn't for me.
