    How do I retrieve something that fell into emergency brake?

    2010 mazda3 i-touring stickshift. Girlfriend dropped thin iPod into gap next to hand brake. Used flashlight, but iPod is not visible. How to access it?

    A picture would be helpful.

    Did it fall into where the emergency break goes 'down' into? You might have to take apart the interior to get to it.

    Yes, there is a thin gap next to the parking brake handle between the 2 front seats.....

    pull the center council apart. If it is anything like the previous gen it should take you 2 minutes

    Pulled the whole console out by hand. No tools needed. Thanks guys. Let this be a "teachable moment." Keep small valuable things away from this area.
