Hi,
Well I might actually get the wheels I wanted for the track events for my MS3. These are SSR Competition 17 x 8.5 +42 with Race rubber 235x40x17
I just did a "test fit" today and although they stick a bit, it's not as bad as I thought!! Heck I am sure some negative camber will fix this plus the wheels look "tiny" compared to the RX8 wheels I have on my car.
I am not planning on dropping the suspension at all so there is a bit of "clearance" in between the tire and the fender... I took it for a quick spin and it was amazing how the car felt!!
The combo weight is 35.5 lbs!!! Talk about losing more than 10lbs per wheel!!
Since these are race tires only, I am going to wait for when the weather is better to test them properly.
However how much (how low) will the suspension travel? I have a "big enough gap" between the top of the tire and the fender.
I will ONLY be using these for AX and track events... will "never" see street driving...
I believe the front suspension is harder than the rear one, right?
What are your thoughts?
Thanks,
Carlos
