In our car manual, it said the timing belt should be replaced by 105000miles / 160000kms...but usually people change it at 100000kms. I am afraid it will snap...I am at 13XXXXkms right now~! Can it last until 160000kms then?
It "may" theoretically be able to last you longer, but ask yourself, how much is your engine worth? Not to mention the frustration you might cause yourself later on.
I'm going to guess the water pump hasn't been changed either?
Personally it's good insurance to change both which I did at 100,000km.
