The following is a list of codes that I have come across in my time spent searching the Internet. If you have one that should be added post or PM it and I'll update the list. This list is for the 2.3L Mazda motor, I'm not sure if all of them apply to the MS6 2.3L or not but I've had one myself, P2006, and it is on the list so I thought I'd share it with the rest of the members.

My 2008 Mazda 3 is back at the dealer again after suffering bent valves. They replaced the engine and know I have the same problem, bent valves. What cuold be causing this problem to re-occur?

Had my 07 MS6 in the dealership for a P2188 CEL....System too rich at idle....both Mazda and CP-E recommeded to change my BOV to recirculate instead of VTA....the MAF does not know where the air goes when it blows out and makes the car run rich to compensate....since I swiched over to recirc I have had no CEL's..and runs just as strong....

Ok, so I am new to this MS6 forum (and female, but don't hold that against me). I bought an 06 MS6 a week ago and on day 3 of driving, the CEL popped on. I have researched more than I ever wanted to on this subject and am just looking for empathy from someone...anyone??
The car only has 32K miles, so it still carries some mfg warranty but I don't want to get punked out by the dealership when they see the CP-E CAI and HKS BOV. The filter has been changed (the one on it was filthy and really beyond cleaning) and everything else appeared clean as a whistle. Any suggestions on what I should do next?

Oh and by the way, the code is P2187...lean at idle, bank 1 (but I bet you all knew that already) :)

Have you checked the intake and BOV for air leaks?

Yes, I did ample research on the forums and checked everything we could think to check. Is it possible that the fruitcake that had the car before put the aftermarket parts on and then never had it tuned? Would it even need to be re-tuned after adding a simple CAI?

I am a traditional V8 girl, but have grown very fond of the foreign tuners so all of this is new to me right now.

I just picked up my car about 2 weeks ago (22 April) and today I go to get off base and get some dinner and check engine light pops on. So I detour to auto zone and get the codes pulled and get P0301. Anybody have any idea how serious this is cause I go home on leave on wednesday. Car is getting taken to the dealership tomorrow. Its completely stock. (I order mods no kidding 5 min before I started it up)

Turned the car into the dealership today. for the P0301 code. Turns out the #1 plug and coil shorted out due to their detail shop using degreaser and a power washer on the engine bay. So just throwing it out there, stay away from doing the same thing. All the other cylinders should be good since they arent as exposed.

P0441 just came up : Evaporative emission control system incorrect purge flow ON 2 Evaporative. anyone kno what that means?

need help i have a evap leak was scan and cleared but back on again was told is not seriousi is there a way to reset it. P.S is a 2003 mazda 6.

I posted here earlier with sad story of the P2404 CEL on a 2006 Mazda 6 2.3L. I bought a scanner (about $40) and would use that to reset the code from time to time to see when the code came on. Seemed to come on only if I opened the gas cap immediately after turning the engine off. HOWEVER, finally took it to the dealer. They think the signal is coming from the computer and they will replace it free. Hmmmm.

P2404 followup

The dealer replaced the computer and the P2404 code came on anyway. It really was the evap pump. They changed that for $150 but didn't charge me labor because they had told me it would be free. Much less than I had expected so I'm ok. Assuming it doesn't come back again.

CEL code

I took my Mazda 6 in after not being able to start it the other day and they gave me the code P2108 TAC Module performance. Does anyone know exactly what that means. I would really appriciate it if anyone who had the same problem could help me out.

got 3 codes the other day...
Code 420: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
Code 442: Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)
Code 741: Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off

Not gunna lie, I'm kinda freeking out :|

Hi
