Awesome Motorsports Pictures & Videos

Harry's Lap Timer ($8.99 for the app) gives me some basic data I can analyze, Will uses the AIM system ($399) but gets much more. Doing this on a budget is a b****, but it works

My buddy Heikki at the Chasing the Dragon Hill Climb in Robinsville, NC:

That's on my list of things to do one of these years. Looks like a blast.

It is the reason my car is currently getting a cage put in. I attended this weekend with a buddy of mine that runs SCCA Time Trials and was also interested in seeing if the event was for him or not. So much fun, and a scant 3 hours from my house (about the same as getting to Barber or Roebling). I can't wait to run it next year, if even SOME things go marginally right lol

Going to be a long winter...

My Lemons Team's newest car was featured in the C&D blog here.

It's a Vanagon body that's been shortened and sectioned on top of a 2001 MR2 Spyder.

I didn't get to drive her this weekend, but I did bang out many a lap with one of our MK2 MR2s at NHMS. I drove an hour and Saturday and the last stint on Sunday, clawing up from ~46th to 34th out of 140 cars and breaking my modest personal best lap time four times, with traffic. No one ever takes pictures of our MK2 MR2s though, they're too plain!

Would it bother anyone if I bumped this from the dead with a few RallyX pictures?

Friend and I decided it'd be fun to play in the dirt so we went out and did just that ^_^ So far, three events have been attended, with first and second being taken in all of them- it doesn't help that nearest competition is an xB. That's where I'm glad because it gives my friend and I time to work on driver mod (not clobbering cones in my case). To be honest, I thought he'd have me by miles (well, last event he had me by 9 sec. overall) as he races in ITC at Waterford hills in a weed-whacker (MX3)...

All in all, a great time. The only thing is we have an Escort GT that'll eventually be out and about, provided wiring harnesses can be modified (botched job by PO).

There are a handful of RallyXers on here. No, i don't think anyone minds, it looks like a good ol' dirty time :D

Does ice racing count too? Out racing with Furrin Group. We (Team Effort Motorsports) are campaigning the Fazda in the dirt and if you check the FB page out, there's a certain MSP that we are tidying up in the hopes that it will be racing around Waterford this coming summer.

The FB page will have many more updates than what I'll post. Figured I'd bump this thread, though I know that autocross doesn't happen much thanks to something white, at least not in the midwest...
