Make sure some rookie does not molest it. My cx-7 is being repainted as a result. Got a dent, rookie dent guy fooked it up, had to take it to the body shop.

found this link: I'm also a dent victim. (gun) As of yet I have not taken it to the repair shop. Insurance deductable $250 / why bother with a dent less of that cost. I need to find out the actual cost of the repair before I decide the right path.

I heard it is garbage. consider the amount of money the car is worth, and repair it the best way possible.

How deep is the scratch? If it goes to metal, your going to have to either touch it up or have somebody do it. If it is just the clear, you can buff it out with some work.
We have a guy here in town who, i have heard, does an AWESOME job of fixing this type of thing, but he doesn't do anything with painting. I still need to have him estimate the 5-6 dings (no scratches) that I have. Check locally for for "paintless dent removal."
This will have to do for now (from the phone):

    Current:
Injen CAI ~ Apex 2.5 DP/MP ~ TEIN S-Tech ~ AWR Motor mounts ~ AutoMeter Boost Gauge ~ AEM Wideband ~ Turbohoses Hotpipe ~ Forge BOV ~ Thunder Exhaust Manifold
    Future (Someday):
EMS, EMS, EMS ~ FMIC ~ Exhaust

many many more as I empower my SPEED addiction

First you need to look at the paint. Is the paint stretched in any way? Because if it is, then when you pop it out, it will have ripples in the paint. Since you said it looks like someone kicked your door in. Pop out the door panel and see if it is pushable from the inside. If it is, you may be in luck. You can push it out slowly starting from the top making sure it does not pop out all at once. Good luck on this one. If it is to bad of a dent, then just look in the phone book for a door ding specialist.

while surfing the internet found a possible minor dent remedy

For a small dent, you can heat it up and put ice on it after it is heated. Sometimes it pops out the dent. (Dry ice works best if you can get it. BE CAREFUL!!! It burns skin.) This doesn't work well on big dents.

Go with PDR, and make sure your guy is not a rookie. My rear hatch now has to be repainted because of it.

Oh shit, that is in a tough spot. I am not sure if paintless dent removal is an option there. Make sure the guy is experienced. I am serious. Here is my story and why you gotta have experience.

Yikes...that's a huge dent. Go to some reputable is all I can say. That would anger me too! People don't seem to care or are just jealous! Sorry about your dent. Good luck.

House is going to be listed in a few weeks. Not just for the CX-7 issue, but we can afford, and we need, a bigger house.
