    replacing O2 sensor on a 1.6

I went to autozone and advance and they both list a universal bosch O2 sensor for the 1.6 but it does NOT fit. They can order a Denso but I don't want to risk it not fitting and I definitely don't want to pay 300+ for an OEM. Where can I find a new pre-cat O2 sensor ?

edit - bosch sensor does fit, it was my custom header being the problem

Are you sure. I got a universal bosch O2 sensor that was pre-cat from auto zone and it fits perfectly. You could try Kragen auto.

It shouldnt make a difference. The part numbers are the same for the both emmissions. The part number for autozone are

    Bosch Universal is 15733
    Denso Universal is 234-4209

They should work. By they "dont fit" do you mean it wont screw in or something else?
