Need computer help

I have a 8mm camcorder, and what I want to do is take the video from the tapes and put them on DVD. My pc (dell, bought in Dec 04) has a dvd burner, but I need to know of a way to get the analog outs from the camera to get the signal onto the PC. is there an adapter for such things, or do I need a new video card. Also, I'm hoping it's not too expensive, cause if it's in the $200+ range, I'll just throw in more $$ and get a digital camcorder.

You can get a bunch of different things that will work, there are a lot of products from a company from dazzle, and they are very moderatley priced.

Buy a video capture card something like this.

install it and use your sound card for audio.

capture video then do whatever you want with it.

Avoid the low end dazzle stuff because it will not support decent frame rates at higher resolutions.
