Did you check the service manual? Link is in my sig. Pretty much the same layout for the 08 on the door panel.

For some reason i want to say that it may be the Bose Audiopilot kicking in, since you have both decks hooked up at the same time. And it sounds like you are still using the bose amp's. Maybe hunting down the mic and disabling it may help you out. Worth a shot if its bothering you that much.

Ceric is correct. the 08's would scrape right off with little effort. The 2012 shouldn't be an issue at all. I wouldn't worry about it. If you must, then I'd suggest a vinyl wrap.

Id have to tell ya that the 2011's camera is night and day better than the 2008's version. My favorite is still the 2011 Acura MDX's that we test drove. Gave you 3 different camera modes/angles.

And double the fluid.

Foggy is right they are plug and play on most cars. I replaced my fogs on our 08 with no issues. Only took about 15 minutes to install. (just had finished installing some in my RSX) I had got the DDM raptor 35w 4500k hoping they would match the stock oem xenons but they didn't color match...
