OEM valve stem seals finally gave after 125k miles. Since OEM seals are quite expensive I tried Victor Rienz, Felpro and Supertechs. First were the Victors and that lasted about 2 months. Then Felpro's which only lasted 2 weeks. Supertechs are currently installed and hoping for the best...

Hopefully your valves are still okay and not bent. Valve and piston could have been in contact with each other but I could be wrong. Next time have internal parts labeled somehow that way when you install them back on you know where they go. I always double check looking back and forth to...

Do you have an aftermarket blow off valve venting to the atmosphere on the stock ECU? This will cause the RPM to drop when coming to a stop and back up. Reason is there is no circulation going back to the turbo(stock bypass valve). I believe the engine runs a bit rich when coming to a stop...

Want to have a COLD running engine? Just pull out the thermostat and that way the engine will always run cold. Although "NOT" recommended.

iirc the stock ecu is not very well mapped out. The reflash resolves the hesitation issue that ALL msp's are known for. New map also smooths out the power curve. I have a stock ecu replacement but thanks btw
