Instead of splicing into wires for rear speakers can't I just connect the rear speaker wired from subwoofer to the RCA preouts on the back on my Sony HU ?

If that's the case look on here for a timing belt complete change guide. Someone posted with full pics while he did his print it out and read very carefully all his tips and writings helped a great deal and saved a ton of time.

Depending on mileage. I'd say 2002 - somewhere near 100,000. First take off oil filler cap, have someone with flashlight look into hole and while you crank over engine see if camshaft turns, if not. Replace Timing belt !

Problem was multiples but mainly cause by a hole underneath the cold air intake hose. Couldn't see the hole. Would flex and let more or less air in causing fluctuations in air intake. Also coils were bad. In turn causing precat to go bad. Replaced all and she runs great.
