ms6 and 55 watt hid kit

The stock output on my '04 was absolutely horrible. I could barely see anything at night. I got a 35w kit now, and it looks OEM. However, 55w? That's pushing it, especially if you're going to use the stock projectors. And who the hell would recommend putting that in the fogs? You guys are nuts...

    HID Conversion Beam Pattern

It definitely produces very good light, with a smooth and even spread. I keep driving next to cars with OEM hid systems, and they look very similar to mine, except for the slightly yellow color on the 4300 oem bulbs. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has the beam pattern for a stock mazda 6...

    HID Conversion Beam Pattern

Hmm...I've found a few shots of the pattern of others that did this mod, and theirs was about the same. Wavy and all. I just wish I could find the pattern for the stock halogens to compare with.

    HID Conversion Beam Pattern

I know the beam pattern shouldn't be flat, but with a step. I was just wondering about the wave thing.

    Replace High beam headlight bulb

I have big hands, and I managed to replace all 6 bulbs (lows, highs, fogs) by reaching in there, without taking anything off. It was a pita, though. The passenger side is easier, since there's more room, but you WILL have to do it by feel half of the time, especially trying to fasten the metal...

Has somebody paint the stock grill on the MS6?

I painted mine. Did it all in flat black, including the badge, except for one body color strip at the top of the grille. Came out pretty good, imo. Just involved a bit of sanding with fine sandpaper, a few coats of paint, and a few coats of clear. Didn't use primer. A year later it's still...

    HID Conversion Beam Pattern

Hey guys. Just wanted to ask if this beam pattern seemed right to you. I honestly can't remember what it was like with halogens. Is the "wave" thing supposed to be like that, or does the passenger light need to be adjusted up a bit? Generally, I'm impressed by the stock halogen projectors. They...

    Clutch (?) Problem

I don't know, it only happens when downshifting, so I guess at lower rpm, 2000-2500, at least so far, anyway. I tend to upshift at about 3000-4000, and it doesn't do it. When it happens, the pedal gets very hard to press, like it jams, and then you really have to force it down hard. Meanwhile...

    Clutch (?) Problem

Hey guys, I wanted to see if anyone knows what the problem is. When I am in gear, and go to push the clutch in to downshift, it will be really hard to push in, and only go in half way, and grind a bit. You have to really push it hard to get it all the way in. It does it maybe 50% of the time. It...

    need help for whats next

I just took my guards off on a 4 year-old car, and they just came right off once you get a corner lifted. No marks or anything. The adhesive there seems weaker than the badge adhesive.

    need help for whats next

I just did it a few days ago. Cut them off with dental floss or fishing line, and then heat up the remaining adhesive with a hair dryer and pick it off with your fingers and adhesive remover. Door guards should peel off very easy once you get a corner lifted.

The 6 / MS6 Picture ONLY Thread (NO DISCUSSION!)

I don't understand how that's possible. It literally has like 2 inches of wheel travel, so how could it be smooth? I'm just curious, because I was thinking about lowering mine too. And how do the front wheels turn when they are tucked in? Do they rub?

Nah, I just think badgeless Mazda grilles look a bit incomplete.

I haven't seen a single grille for the 6 that was good looking, besides a stock-looking badgeless one. Even then, the front of the car looks like it's missing something, and generic. I don't know what lights you are talking about, though. The high beams, or those tiny parking light bulbs that...

The 6 / MS6 Picture ONLY Thread (NO DISCUSSION!)

Nice car. The stock MS6 exhaust openings drive me crazy, though. They look pretty bad wrapped in the plastic bumper.
