Stock low beams are 55w halogens.

The stock output on my '04 was absolutely horrible. I could barely see anything at night. I got a 35w kit now, and it looks OEM. However, 55w? That's pushing it, especially if you're going to use the stock projectors. And who the hell would recommend putting that in the fogs? You guys are nuts...

It definitely produces very good light, with a smooth and even spread. I keep driving next to cars with OEM hid systems, and they look very similar to mine, except for the slightly yellow color on the 4300 oem bulbs. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has the beam pattern for a stock mazda 6...

Hmm...I've found a few shots of the pattern of others that did this mod, and theirs was about the same. Wavy and all. I just wish I could find the pattern for the stock halogens to compare with.

My 2004 6S also just hit 55k miles, and it's about falling apart.

I don't know, it only happens when downshifting, so I guess at lower rpm, 2000-2500, at least so far, anyway. I tend to upshift at about 3000-4000, and it doesn't do it. When it happens, the pedal gets very hard to press, like it jams, and then you really have to force it down hard. Meanwhile...

I just took my guards off on a 4 year-old car, and they just came right off once you get a corner lifted. No marks or anything. The adhesive there seems weaker than the badge adhesive.

I just did it a few days ago. Cut them off with dental floss or fishing line, and then heat up the remaining adhesive with a hair dryer and pick it off with your fingers and adhesive remover. Door guards should peel off very easy once you get a corner lifted.

I don't understand how that's possible. It literally has like 2 inches of wheel travel, so how could it be smooth? I'm just curious, because I was thinking about lowering mine too. And how do the front wheels turn when they are tucked in? Do they rub?
