    digital clock losing minutes?

I agree that all (most) digital clocks will lose time but not at the rate of 1 minute per week. My cheap digital watch loses about 1 second per month (so it would take 5 years to lose 1 minute) and its timekeeping circuitry is based on exactly the same principles as any other digital clock...

    digital clock losing minutes?

Same with mine. Just another problem with Mazda's lousy electronics package in the CX-9.

Changing Rear Turn Signals to LED

Hopefully you can't! There is a switch on the high beams so you can turn them off so you don't blind oncoming traffic. Having high beams as your standard headlights is just plain stupid, shows no regard for other drivers that would be blinded by them and is most likely illegal as well (it...

    CD Title display

It will only display the info of MP3 discs, not standard audio discs. If you burn a CD with MP3 files that have correct ID3 tags it will display the information correctly. What annoys me is that it wont display folder names on the CD so you have no idea what albums you have on the disc unless...

    LED turn signal question

Just save the money and spend it on a replacement bulb if it ever fails. I've changed a few brake light bulbs over the years but I have never had to replace a turn signal bulb. Chances are you will never have to replace one either so it will cost you nothing. For $15 you can probably change...

What is the Small Black thing on Speaker

Really. I never use the air-con so I haven't noticed the effect. I thought it was more likely to be the sensor for the automatic headlights.

Rewired Fogs to run without headlights on

Where I live it is illegal to drive with your fog lights on unless it is actually foggy. We rarely get days where fog would require the use of fog lights but you see MANY people driving around with them on all the time. The police and traffic authorities seem to take great pleasure in...

Reverse/backup lights not bright enough. LED's?

Why do you need them brighter? They aren't there to provide illumination. They are there to show other drivers that you are in reverse and likely to be moving backwards.

More Bass less trebel from Bose system

Are you sure the sub is actually working? I have the standard audio system, ie non-Bose and I have the bass set to even and the treble set to +6 to get it the way I want it. And that is without a sub. With your settings you should be pushing the windows out with the bass and not be able to...

    Aftermarket Stereo Install Questions...

A double DIN kit for the CX-9 would be great so that we could perhaps fit a unit like this .... http://digicity.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=18&products_id=347 I got that link e-mailed to me yesterday by a local supplier. I have no idea about the quality but what you get for...

    locked at 160 km !!

The fines for speeding obviously aren't as high for you as they are here in Australia. The likelihood of being caught is also quite high. Our highest speed limit here is 110km/h on divided freeways. Driving at 160km/h (>45km/h over the limit) attacts a very high fine and immediate licence...

Are the rear brake lights on CX-9 LED lights?

I'm actually thinking of trying to do something to reduce the intensity of the rear lights. I absolutely hate driving behind cars with super bright rear lights and I certainly don't want to inflict the same on other road users. I'm not sure whether I should try to darken the lens or maybe put...

    LED turn signal question

I'm not sure why you would be concerned with trying to lessen the turn signal light globe anyway. For almost 100% of the time they would be in use the battery is being charged by the alternator. If the headlights don't flatten the battery whilst the car is running then the turn signals...

Has any Aussie owner tried E10

If that 4% figure is true then here in Australia you are costing yourself more by using E10. E10 is 3c/litre cheaper than unleaded. Using an average price for unleaded of A$1.60/litre that equates to a 1.875% reduction in price. For there to be a saving E10 would need to be at least...

    IPhone

The iPod integration module doesn't really integrate the iPod at all well so make sure you check its capabilities before you hand over your cash for it. I was very disappointed when I saw the capabilities of it so I stayed with using the AUX connector. But it's such a waste of the nice big...

    CX9 Tyre pressures

Just watch for excessive wear in the centre of the tyre if you are going to overinflate them. It's not usually too much of a problem though as most tyres tend to wear on the edges first due to mis-alignment.

    CX9 Tyre pressures

You know I haven't even checked the tyre pressures in the 3 months I've owned my CX-9. They do look OK but I really should check them I suppose. I should check the plate too because at the moment I have no idea what the recommended pressures are either.

    cargo cover question

I'll have to dig mine out and try it. I got one thrown in with the deal but as we use 7 seats reasonably frequently I can't leave it in the car. So it has just sat in the garage and never been used.

    auto headlight sensitivity

Basing it on the clock is crazy as it doesn't know the date. In winter the sun is down by 5pm but in summer it's not down til almost 9pm.
