    rear cargo interior lights turn on when we set the switch to on and lift the tailgate up. if tailgate is closed the interior lights will turn off even if the switch is on.

    Nope. But to be safe, i remove the assembly from the wire plug before removing the orig bulb and replacing the modified bulb into the socket the plug the wire back. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Tibimakai, the led strips just follow the cargo dome light switch. If u open the tailgate the led turns on even ifyour car is turn off.

    I used a modified dome light bulb with +/- wires to tap power to the led strips instead of tapping into the rear 12v wires.

    Found a solution for constant power in the cargo area. A friend suggested Me to use this No cut wires just plug and play and it works. Just make sure to unplug the dome light socket first before removing the bulb and plugging the mod bulb light. no need for mercury switch and rocker switch. You...

    How come my 2013 cx5 2.5 skyactive rear 12v cigar socket doesn't seem to have power when the car is off, only when I put it on acc on then there is power. I tried doing same mod as deepfriedsushi, cx5freestyle & cx5stoomtrooper.

    I tried doing this mod using the 12v cigarette socket. But it seems that I need to put my car to acc mode before I can switch on the LED's. Is there a way to tap power even if the power is switch off?
