Yes it is that bad. I have a '13 Mazda 5 and an '10 Jetta. Audio is night a day. Though a big part of the "bad audio" is the lack of noise isolation, one of the few weak points of Mazda. There is such a lack of insulation and the glass is so thin road noise comes roaring thu muffling the audio.

Just joined the 5 club as well. Was originally going to buy new but found: 2013 Sport automatic, Meteor Gray Mica, 6600 miles- from Honda dealer that wanted it gone. $14,700 at 2.65% for 60 months. At about 3k less than I was gonna find a 2014 for new, could not pass up.

I hope it's true that they are continuing it for 2015. Might mean a OEM touchscreen radio might finally be available, as they have it for the 2015 foreign markets.
