i normally shift 1st and 2nd at about 4500rpm.

There must be something else to it. It only started right after I installed it.

Alright everyone in hoping for some help here. I installed my ssafc a few months back and seeing good changes in my afr at wot. But unfortunately if I ease into the throttle below boost and I get to 4000 rpms then my afr drops dramatically to 10.0. Probably lower since my aem only reads to 10.0...

id stick with OEM if it was my car when it comes to starters, especially a rotary, when everything is working correctly they turn over quite fast.

change the oil and filter first. then if you have the equipment, drain the gas tank and fill with new gas. make sure your fuel lines are cleared of old gas and or contamination by taking the fuel feed line off the rail and keep priming the pump. ensure gas goes into a container and not all over...
