For those who installed a dash cam and/or radar detector - where is the negative/ground for the hardwire when tapping into the fuse? Is the A-pillar easy to remove? And for the cargo 12v outlet, can someone confirm if it is always on (hot) or switched power? Thanks!

Should I be doing both at the same time or can I just do the rear and do the front later on? I have yet to change the differential fluid in the front or rear and my car is reaching 40k (yes I know I should have done it earlier...)

And how many bottles of diff fluid should I get? I only have 1 bottle of Mazda 80W-90 around at the moment since I've ordered it a while back but haven't done the service yet.

When changing the differential fluid... Do you just add/pump in the fluid until it leaks? Or is there a way to measure how much fluid should be added into the differential? Planning to do the differential fluid change soon.

I wonder what they replaced... As with my car, I never took it into the dealership since I've bought it besides for a TSB related to headunit. I notice my 2014 CX-5 have a rumbling sound around 40-50mph under light acceleration but I just ignored it since I've owned the car for 3+ years now.

I might need to make a visit to the dealer when the recall parts are available and will probably mention some issues with the car I guess... I rarely go to dealerships as I do most of the regular maintenance. I swapped remotes over the weekend and still the same issue, have to be close to the...

I'm just going to bump this thread up... For now, I'm not having too much issue with it not detecting the keyfob in the car anymore after new batteries, but unlocking the car from a distance is almost impossible... I have to be like right next to my car to unlock the car with the remote now...

9011 bulbs would be the alternative; brighter and higher wattage, burns faster though.

At times I want to try other people's CX-5 to see how their transmission shifts. I'm starting to wonder if my transmission is "slipping" of some sort; not sure how to describe it. I can feel most of the shifts from the first 5 gears; only when the car shifts from 5th to 6th, it's smooth/not...

This past few months, I notice that in colder days or even now when it's warmer, on the first start of the day, I can't start the car unless I hold the remote next to the push button. I also notice that when I lock/unlock the car, it is not locking or unlocking unless I press it multiple times...

It will charge really slowly or not charge at all if you're planning to use your phone as GPS, it might even continue to drop ;) Better to get a car charger off of Amazon or something.

Curious what is the cause for the mildew smell... My CX-5 have a strange/weird smell when turning on the fan after using AC from previous stop.

I think in the US, most cars with fog light require your low beam to be on in order to turn on the fog light. If it's just your parking light on, fog light does not turn on. It's somewhat hard to tell if the fog is on or not if your low beams are bright already.

Jacked up slightly on both side (making it level) to remove the panel and when draining.

I haven't checked the atf stick to see if the fluid level was correct or not, I just drained it, pour the used oil into 4x 1 quart bottles and filled it back up with the amount it was drained.
