Pet protetctor for the rear bumper

I got http://www.mazdaparts.org/mazda-cx5-cargo-tray.html It fits perfectly, including the side indents, and the material prevents things from sliding around the cargo area. I have considered making my own "bumper flap" that folds under the tray. Maybe some day.

    Someone else fell in love

Good to know. I know a police officer. I'll have to ask what the law is on that one in my area. *edit* I found this article. http://wlrn.org/post/headlight-speed-trap-warnings-now-legal

    Someone else fell in love

I was under the impression that flashing your headlights at incoming traffic was a way to warn about police cars or speed traps. It is definitely something I do not see often either way. I've also see truckers use it to signal an "all clear" to change langes when passing each other.

    First 2014 in Minnesota?

From the Morries pics it looks like they went with leather or fake leather for the arm rests even though the seats are fabric. While the fabric arm rests looks nice in the 2013's, it is very thin. I agree that the meteor gray looks sharp. I do like it better than the metro gray.

    Someone else fell in love

Every time I walk out to my car I think to myself "what a great looking car. I'm so glad I bought it". My last fill-up I calculated 34 mpg which makes me love it even more.

    Infotainment Software Update?

If that doesn't work, I guess worst case scenario would be to swap out the stereo from a 2014 model. I did a quick search, but could not find an OEM part number for the stereo system of the 2013 or 2014 models.

    cx5 first oil change

I agree. Once you have synthetic oil in an engine, you should stick with synthetic. Also, you might want to request using the 0W-20 as well. The 5W-20 will probably reduce your fuel economy a bit since it will be slightly thicker than the 0W-20.

About to have my 1st Oil Change at 7500 miles

You might want to look into any ECU/Transmission re-flash/software updates available. They may not be willing to do it if they vehicle is not exhibiting any problems, but it's worth asking about...

    2013 Incentives/Pricing

My impression of the situation is this: The CX-5 is a brand new model line. Mazda is trying to get the cars out there by offering incentives and a pretty attractive price point (low profit margin). Mazda finds out that the car is selling like hot cakes, but also has some improvements/changes...

Pet protetctor for the rear bumper

Wahbooza, Be careful with some of the 3rd party sites. Their prices might look very good, but the shipping costs are really high. I ordered my CX-5 accessories from http://www.mazdaparts.org/. Their prices seem higher than some but that includes free shipping. I found them to be friendly...

    USB issues

I am using a Lexar 32GB stick with 4000+ songs on it all sorted by band and album in folders. It takes several minutes to read through all of the folders. It's really annoying. I'm considering getting a couple of smaller, faster sticks. I could easily deal with 30-40 sec load times. Also, I only...

    Infotainment Software Update?

I'll have to check to see if my phone has that option or a similar setting. It is not a smart phone so I may have to just deal with it or upgrade.

    Driver and Passenger Seat Clicking

I think that's exactly what's happening. The diagram is very helpful. Thanks! I'll definitely have to look into this.

    Infotainment Software Update?

I agree. It's annoying and frustrating using the USB drive. It would be nice if they speed up the reading process too. A 32GB thumb drive takes several minutes to read. Also, my system or phone has some Bluetooth issue where it gets stuck in a constant disconnect/reconnect loop. Very annoying...

What did you pay for your CX-5?

First time Mazda buyer also. Purchased mine in October (manufactured Aug or Sep). Automatic FWD Touring with Bose and Moonroof package for $27,800 out the door. Not great, but not bad. Plus it's getting better mileage than the '02 manual Focus I traded in. Loving my CX-5.

    Driver and Passenger Seat Clicking

I bought a CX-5 Touring in October and the past couple of months I've notice a very clear click coming from the seat when I first sit in the car. I've also noticed the sound from the passenger seat when my wife gets in. There are no clicking sounds or rattles from either seat while driving, just...
